What was your biggest craving trigger? Definitely stress, I find less of my friends smoke now so social situations aren’t as tough, although I do crave it more once I’ve had a drink
To help me cope with cravings I’d have some gum or eat wine gums (personal preference!) I’ve also found I’ve kept myself busier during my quit and drunk less to avoid wanting to have oneBack to top

What was your biggest craving trigger? Specific times of the day and I found breaking my routine was the toughest part, as well as things I did that I would associate with smoking On my way to work, I would usually have two cigarettes. It had become a pure habit and I had to tell myself that I wasn’t going to do that anymore. I also used to have a cigarette with a cup of tea. Naturally, when I made a cup, I automatically went for a cigarette as well. I didn’t even need a cigarette; it had just become a routine.
I was more prepared with this attempt to quit, it (smoking) was becoming something that I just didn’t enjoy and that is not something I have been able to say on previous occasions.Back to top

Previously tried to quit with: Nicotine Gum, patches & inhalator.
Why I chose Patch: I tried the gum & patches but the patches worked best for me. I found it easy to just place a patch on in the morning and leave it on without thinking of it. Every time I had a bit of an urge for a cigarette it was only because of the hand to mouth action and I just had to make a hot drink or do something to take my mind off it. But as for the patches working they did work.
To be in the company of smokers and not to have on is hard but, I'm happier not smoking than I am smoking. Its such an achievement to give up.Back to top
