Previous Smoking Habit: 40 cigarettes a day

"It has been really hard to quit but my breathing has improved and my sense of smell. I'm so happy to finally be smoke free.'

What was my smoking habit?:

I have been smoking since I was a teenager. Currently I have been smoking 40 cigarettes a day.

My reason to quit smoking:

As I’m getting older I am noticing that I am getting a bit of a cough and it would be nice to not be out of breath and to feel healthier.

Benefits of quitting smoking:

Sense of smell is better

I feel like I can breathe

My top tips to quit smoking:

Reduce your cigarettes first as a building block to quitting

Persevere. It's challenging but you will feel proud of yourself when you are finally smoke free.

How I Quit Smoking? Reduced my smoking from 40 cigarettes a day to 10, NICORETTE® Icy White Gum and My Quit plan

Chew a piece of gum whenever you feel the urge to smoke, up to a maximum of 15 pieces a day. Over time, you should need to use fewer and fewer gums to control your nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms. We recommend gradually reducing the number of pieces of gum that you chew each day.
