How Nicorette QuickMist works
When you stop smoking or vaping, you may notice unpleasant feelings alongside a strong desire to smoke or vape– this is known as a craving. This is because your body starts to miss the nicotine it was getting from cigarettes and vapes.
NRT products like Nicorette® QuickMist work by providing you with a low level of nicotine.
You spray Nicorette® QuickMist into your mouth. The nicotine is then absorbed through the lining of your mouth to help relieve nicotine cravings and withdrawal symptoms. You won’t, however, get the same buzz as you would from smoking.
You can use Nicorette® QuickMist to support your quitting journey, whether you’re ready to quit entirely or are just starting out by replacing a few cigarettes or e-cigarettes at a time. You should always aim to quit smoking entirely by the end of your journey, however.
Because it’s a convenient format for use anywhere, anytime, you can use QuickMist to calm cravings whenever you have the urge for a cigarette or vape. Whether that’s in a pub, around family or on public transport. Do not use more than 2 sprays per dose, 4 sprays every hour, 64 sprays per day.
How to use Nicorette QuickMist MouthSpray
If you're using a new QuickMist or have not used the spray in 2 days, you must prime the mouth spray by pressing the top of the QuickMist with your index finger three times until a fine spray appears.
Point the spray safely away from you and any other adults, children or pets that are near.
To open the Nicorette® QuickMist mouth spray:
1. Use your thumb to slide down the button until you can push it lightly inwards. Don't push too hard.
2. While pushing in, slide upwards to unlock the top of the dispenser. Then release the button.
To use the QuickMist once you've opened it:
3. Point the spray nozzle towards your open mouth and hold it as close to your mouth as possible.
4. Press the top of the dispenser to release one spray into your mouth. Close the QuickMist once you're done to prevent accidental spraying or use by children:
5. Slide the button down until you can push it inwards.
6. Push in and slide the top of the dispenser downwards. Release the button to close the QuickMist.
Don't inhale while spraying to avoid getting spray down your throat, and try not to swallow for a few seconds after using the spray. You should also avoid eating and drinking when administering the QuickMist mouth spray.
