NICORETTE® DUAL SUPPORT

Combination support for complete craving control.

Using a long-acting Nicotine Replacement Therapy patch (NRT) with a short-acting NRT flexible format can help you more effectively than using just one.

Nicorette® dual support combines our InvisiPatch, for use up to 16 hours, with one other flexible NRT format to maximise your chances of quitting for good.

How to use Nicorette® dual support

  • You should use the Nicorette® InvisiPatch as per the package instructions, choosing the patch based on how many cigarettes you currently smoke

  • Once you've selected a suitable starting patch, it's time to apply your InvisiPatch

  • Combine Nicorette® InvisiPatch with a faster acting NRT form, such as Nicorette® gum, QuickMist, Cools Lozenges or Nasal spray

Frequently asked questions

Nicorette® dual support uses a combination of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) in the form of a patch for all day support and a flexible NRT product like Nicorette® QuickMist Mouthspray, Nicorette® Gum, or Nicorette® Lozenge for extra support when those intense cravings strike. Help take control with combination support for complete craving control to maximise your chances of quitting for good.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy – or NRT – supplies your body with a low level of nicotine to help reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings. There are several types of NRT, ranging from slow-release patches that can reduce background cravings, to faster flexible formats that release nicotine quickly in short bursts.

Nicorette® InvisiPatches are our slow-release NRT format, designed to help ease ongoing background cravings.

The following flexible NRT products are available from Nicorette®:

  • Nicorette® QuickMist

  • Nicorette® QuickMist SmartTrack

  • Nicorette® Gum

  • Nicorette® Lozenge

  • Nicorette® Nasal Spray

  • Nicorette® Inhalator

  • Nicorette® Microtab

There's no evidence that one type of NRT is more effective than another. However, there is evidence to suggest that a combination of NRT is more effective than using a single format. In fact, smokers are 25% more likely to quit smoking using combination therapy versus single NRT.

Nicorette® is here to support the 1,000 people in the UK that quit smoking every day*. For more than 40 years, we have developed and introduced an extensive range of innovative Nicotine Replacement Therapy products that are clinically proven to help you quit smoking.

We have a range of NRT products to suit your needs, from our 16-hour InvisiPatch that helps control cravings throughout the day to the first connected** craving relief spray – Nicorette® Quickmist SmartTrack. Use our dual support programme to maximise your chances of quitting for good.

When making a quit attempt, a behavioural support programme may increase your chances of success. Discover useful resources on our website to help you along your stop smoking journey, including:

Nicotine is an addictive substance, which makes quitting smoking (and vaping) so difficult. Nicorette also contains nicotine but is designed specifically to fight craving as you reduce to quit tobacco/nicotine-vaping. We believe that being free of both tobacco and nicotine is the best quitting outcome, so we do not encourage use of our products unless it is within the context of quitting (including reducing prior to quitting). If you have a concern or an issue with ongoing use of Nicorette, please contact Nicorette Customer Services or speak directly to your GP/HCP for further guidance.
